Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Introduction

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), how we use and protect that information, and the choices you have regarding your data. We are committed to transparency and compliance with applicable privacy laws, including where applicable the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. We may update this policy from time to time; we will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

All professional medical services are provided by licensed physicians and clinicians affiliated with independently owned and operated professional practices. The Stack provides administrative and technology services to affiliated medical practices it supports, and does not provide any professional medical services itself. The Stack is not a medical provider and does not prescribe, dispense, or ship medications. All prescribing and clinical decision-making are made solely by licensed medical professionals, and medication fulfillment is handled by licensed pharmacies when prescribed.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, book an appointment, complete a form, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, health-related information you choose to share, payment information, and any other details you submit.

We also automatically collect certain information when you use our Services, including device information (e.g., device type, operating system, unique identifiers), log data (e.g., IP address, access times, pages viewed), and information collected via cookies and similar technologies. We use this data to improve our Services, analyze usage patterns, and ensure security.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our Services; to process transactions and send related information such as confirmations and reminders; to respond to your comments and questions; to send you technical notices and support messages; and to comply with legal obligations.

We may also use your information to send you marketing communications (where you have opted in), to personalize your experience, to detect and prevent fraud, and to protect the security of our Services and our users. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information with service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting, analytics, and customer support. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, in connection with a merger or sale of assets, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or with your consent. We do not share your health information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with applicable standards.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (where applicable) and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can exercise many of these rights through your account settings or by contacting us. We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by applicable law. To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in our emails or contact us.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and indicate the date of the last revision. For material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as an email or a prominent notice within our Services. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
